Phil Channell is a composer and sound designer for Film, TV, and Radio with over 25 years of experience in music and sound production.

Over the last ten years he’s been composing and producing soundscapes for BBC radio programmes including Radio 4 ‘s Wireless Nights. In 2015 he created an underwater soundscape accompanied by BBC Philharmonic Orchestra for the last of the alternative proms at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

In 2018, he was specially commissioned by the BBC to compose and produce a musical soundscape for the award winning podcast seriesDeath In Ice Valley which charted across the globe on iTunes and also made Apple’s Best of 2018.

In 2019, Phil wrote and produced the soundtrack for the BBC number one hit podcast The Missing Cryptoqueen which was nominated at the 2020 NME awards for Best Podcast.
